What Me, A Publisher??? By Jaime Rush
I have become a publisher, sort of. I'm stoked to be bringing back many of my earlier romantic suspense's (with a bit of paranormal), published under my real name, Tina Wainscott, from 1995 on. In the advent of this new
ebook/epublishing world, it's now easy (somewhat) and possible (very) to put your books out there. So my beloved books, which have been out of print for a few years now, are coming back to life. I get a chance to fix a couple things here and there, update them a bit, and in some cases, go back to my original titles.
It's a process both fun and exasperating. Hey, kind of like writing itself. It's been fun to read through the books again (except when I find stuff I did then that I'm glad I don't do now!). It's like revisiting old friends who once meant so much to me. And coming up with cover ideas is a different side to my creativity. Luckily I've got a great helper in that department who can steer me away from things that don't work.
What I love about publishing my own work is how dynamic it is. I can tweak, at will, pricing and sales info and to an extent, covers and titles. Because I can monitor sales, I can see what's working and what isn't, and unlike a physical book, I can change it. The best part for those who love ebooks is that these are priced at $.99 and $1.99.
I'm working my way through my fourteen books, starting with Unforgivable.
Katie's world unravels when a childhood friend returns to town a man shadowed by secrets. He knows things about her that no one could possibly know. He makes her feel things she never knew she could feel. And he's come back to warn her that a killer is closer than she can imagine...
Then the King of Nothing (Originally What She Doesn't Know and may revert to that)
On the brink of falling for a man she met on the Internet, Dr. Rita Brooks naively assumes Brian LaPorte is everything he says he is ... and all that she's hoped for. But before she can come face to face with him, Rita is nearly killed in a horrific accident. Or was it an accident at all?
Emerging at last from a disturbing, vision-plagued coma, Rita is confronted by a stranger who is convinced she knows more than she's telling about her own past--and his brother's. Cryptic email records have led Christopher LaPorte to Rita while Brian lies in a coma in New Orleans from a suicide attempt. Or was it?
Desperate to unlock her own muddled memories as well as Brian's secrets, Rita returns with Christopher to New Orleans. There, amidst the chaotic revelry of Mardi Gras, she is plunged into a bizarre masquerade where elaborate masks cleverly conceal familiar faces--as well as murderous intent.
The third book to be released is Blindsight (Originally Now You See Me)
Eight-year-old Phaedra Burns has been kidnapped by a madman who believes her death will assuage his rage. Olivia Howe knows that rage; sixteen years ago, she escaped his clutches. The trauma stole her sight, but gave her something in return: a psychic connection to abducted children. Now, that connection is Phaedra's only hope...if Olivia can face the terrors of her past--and an inescapable new nightmare.Coming soon, my three Soul Change novels.Phaedra's kidnapping is the case that could push Detective Max Callahan over the edge. Especially when his key witness--or suspect--is a beautiful blind woman with a crazy claim. But her fragile beauty isn't the only thing that draws him to her. And as their pasts, and passion, twist together, a killer stalks their every move.
Three women die too young, and get a second chance. But there's a big catch: it's in the body of another woman. Three very different women, different lives, but all have one thing in common: someone is trying to kill them.
Many of these books are still available through my promoter, and can be personally signed (email me through my website.) . But for those who prefer ebooks, these books are now available just for you for the first time.
